Wine & Wishes 30th Anniversary For The Make A Wish Foundation

My girlfriend Christina, who lives in Dallas (for now) was in town this past weekend to be my arm candy at the Make-A-Wish charity dinner, which as you see, was black-tie-optional

The wine and wishes event was presented by my attorney, Kevin Hughey of the Hughey Law Group

PHOTOBOMB! Long time listeners will remember former GM “Goldberg,” who was at the event and snuck up on us. Those of you who don’t who that is can just move along please

There’s nothing like stepping outside the event to take a whiz and being corralled by two giant listeners who happen to be working security at the event. Given their size and training, I did exactly what was asked of me and happily took pictures with them

Christina decided the most uttered phrase of the night was “Hey Rob,” as we met tons of listeners that night, all of whom were very nice (obviously not regular callers to the show).

You may recall that listener Jennifer called in last week to talk about her experience with Make a Wish and we made sure she and her kids were able to attend…and look! It’s a Brandon and Mrs. Brandon sighting

You may also recall that we were joking on-air about Sacramento taking “Black-tie optional,” to a new low and that we were expecting someone to show up in a Tommy Bahama shirt. Never failing to disappoint, we spotted this gem and no, he wasn’t a listener doing it on purpose.

Sadly, this guy wasn’t even the worst. We saw so many trashy people who attended this wonderful event in jeans, t-shirts, polo shirts and other totally inappropriate forms of attire. God Bless Sacramento

Renowned performance artists was on hand to paint a few items to be auctioned off. Here he is working on Muhammad Ali

This is the one I wanted though, his rendition of the Statue of Liberty. Sadly, it became too rich for my blood during the live auction. I dropped out around $15,000 and it ultimately sold for $22,000!

The other big event this weekend was the arrival of our newest pack member, Scout the black lab. This picture was taken less than hour after he had met Nellie and Maestro for the first time. They took to each other almost immediately

Here is the new security team at Williams Manor. This is what will be waiting for you as you approach our front door
