Our last night in Chicago we went to see a Cubs game! So fun! We had great seats which makes it even more fun! Tried a Chicago dog, wouldn’t want one again but glad I tried it! yes I am wearing a Cubs hat! Hey it was gonna rain that night so I bought a hat at the game!!

Road trip continues!! This is the same day we spent in Green Bay and Milwaukee before heading to Chicago!
When we got to Chicago it was late afternoon, we decided we would go on the Sunset Architectural Boat Tour while we waited we hung out in the lobby bar of our hotel had some complimentary meat, cheese and wine they brought us!

Day 1 of our road trip continues as we head to Kansas….On Day 1 we went from Texas to Oklahoma, to Kansas to Kansas City Missouri where we slept for the night…

Hello Missouri, Kansas City Missouri! Seriously what a neat town, who knew??!! They say that’s what people end up saying that are just making it a pit stop, my hubby and I for sure want to come back since that’s what we made it this trip just a quick sleep over city..
Yahoooo made it to our Hotel, The Ambassador super fancy place….and yes we got a deal!! No really we did!
Okay so I had a few drinks at the hotel so while I was waiting for Gary, he was finding out what BBQ place is the best in town so we could try some Kansas City BBQ, I was trying to get a good shot of the city street our hotel was on!!

Road trippen!! Gary and I LOVE road trips. Our close friend Erin is a 5th generation Nevadan, so when she told us she was leaving Nevada for Minnesota for her career we knew we had to come and visit her, and we did so with a road trip!! Thought I would show you our route…Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Erin’s house in Minnesota. Then when we left her place our route back was Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas and back to Texas. We had some stops along the way and for the next few weeks I will be rolling out those photos!

To get to Texas to start our road trip we flew, here we are at the Sacramento Airport happy to be leaving soon!
Here we are in Denver for our connecting flight to Austin, yes there are NO direct flights from Sacramento to Austin you have to connect somewhere..
