Dawn's Veteran's Day Weekend - 2016

On my way to Austin, I met some really nice listeners! Lance and Penny, they were celebrating their 19th wedding anniversary!

On Veterans Day, there were a TON of Veterans Day Ceremonies going on in Central Texas, it was really hard to pick one. We chose to go to a Ceremony in Georgetown, Texas…the Veterans Memorial Plaza they have is SO beautiful. The place was jam packed with people young, old and in between all there to honor our Veterans.

Just arrived to our first Friday Night Lights High School Football game! Holy shit high school football in Texas is a whole other level!! The whole town goes whether you have a kid at the school or not, it’s an event, it’s like a religion!

The stadium we went to was a smaller one, it only seats 11,000. This is only one side and not the whole side, once the game started it was all filled up with people ready to watch some football! And that’s their Press box!

This is how the football team makes its entrance! Even the visiting school has their own blow up they run thru when coming on the field!
