Official Contest Rules - What's In The Box?

Description of Contest

A. A daily game called “What’s in the Box,” (WIB) will award prizes to one lucky caller as described below.

B. How to Enter and play:   Beginning on Monday, May 21, 2018 at anytime after 6:07 am PDT, through Friday morning June 22, 2018 at 9:59am, the show (RAD) will invite listeners to  be the 18th caller at 888-989-9811 to play the WIB game. Invitations, including, and then following, the first one on 05/21/18 will occur at least once, and in many cases multiple times, during each daily program that the show broadcasts live between 6-10am PDT. These invitations will occur at random times between 6-10am PDT and will occur a random number of total times during each day’s live show, never less than once.

The 18th caller will then be given a chance to play WIB as follows:

Similar to the card game “Concentration,” RAD will have a 50-box board containing 25 different numbered prizes as described below. A hard copy and date stamped copy of a photo of the board and master prize list with assigned box numbers as formulated no later than 5/18/2018 will be on file for the duration of, and for one year following, this contest.

Caller 18 will choose a number between 1-50. Each number represents a box on the board containing one of the 25 prizes available to win. Once the first box is opened and the prize is revealed, the same caller will choose a second, different number between 1-50, hoping to match the prize. If a prize match is found, the caller wins that specific prize, and both the prize and the two board numbers are eliminated from the board and subsequent play. If subsequent callers choose the numbers already claimed, they will be asked to choose a different number without penalty.

If caller 18 fails to choose matching prizes, they win nothing and the board stays in tact as originally designed. Listeners are now aware of which prizes are under the boxes chosen and are encouraged to use that knowledge moving forward to help them make a match.

For example, caller 18 chooses box #4, perhaps containing a pair of airline tickets. They then choose box #11, containing the same prize and they win. Conversely, if after choosing box #4 and revealing the airline tickets, the caller then chooses box #19 revealing a stuffed animal, a match has not been made and there is no winner.

If, on 06/22/18, the final day of the contest, prizes remain following what has been announced to be the final playing of the game, the hosts will then take calls, subsequently, until a caller can properly identify matching prizes and win. Each subsequent caller will only be eligible to win one of the remaining prizes. One they do, if prizes still remain, the process is repeated until all prizes are claimed.

At any time, during any play of WIB, In the event that a technical malfunction makes it impossible for the winner to express a guess, or for a guess to be heard by the hosts,a back-up caller, previously determined to be caller #19, will be given a chance to play. If caller #19 is unable or unavailable, the game will be postponed until a substitute contestant calls in, when directed by the hosts later. Original contestant will forfeit chance to guess, regardless of the reasons for initial malfunction, including, but not limited to, cell phone cut-outs, accidental disconnection and force majeure.  In the event of technical malfunction, original contestant waives and releases any and all rights and claims to attempt another guess, participate further in the contest, and to any contest prize.

C. Prizes: The following is an exact list of the prizes available from the WIB game. Some prizes contain limitations (days of use, expiration dates, etc) as specified on the prize when delivered to the winner. As of the beginning of the WIB game, Williams either has in its’ possession, or has arranged for delivery of each prize. Williams will explain to each winner how prizes will be claimed, received, or redeemed.

Williams is not responsible for closings of businesses, individual policies of businesses, and/or any sort of force majeure that prevents a winner from ultimately using their prize.
