Maniac - A Netflix Limited Series

Review by Brandon:

Before I get to the review, I admit that I was distracted a lot by one specific thing in this 10-part miniseries, Maniac.  It wasn’t the great acting, the thought-provoking plot or the dark dry humor.  It was skinny Jonah Hill!  Every time I saw his turkey neck on the screen, I couldn’t stop thinking about it!  Okay, it wasn’t that bad after a while, but it did take some getting used to.  Fortunately, this mini series helmed by the director of True Detective, Cary Joji Fukunaga, starring Jonah Hill, Emma Stone & Justin Theroux was good enough to make me find time to squeeze in another episode.  Netflix has done an amazing job at funding these 10-hour long movies and getting out of the way to let the filmmakers and actors do what they do best.  Sometimes Maniac can come off as a little “artsy-fartsy” as some would say, but it is refreshing to see some original ideas with high production value and solid storylines.

Maniac casts Jonah Hill as Owen Milgrim, a very depressed New Yorker who’s recovering from a mental breakdown and suicide attempt which leads him to see all sorts of visions.  In the beginning of the series consists of Hill acting near-comatose and mumbling most of his lines.  Everyone seems to be suffering from severe depression in this not-so-distant future that seems to still be using technology from the past.  Which is all a part of the creative imagery.  In order to help work through his depression, and make some money on the side, Hill’s character goes into a drug trial where he meets Emma Stone’s character, Annie Landbergh.  Annie is also suffering from depression due to a car accident that claimed the life of her little sister.  Stay with me, this show is really good!  Depression just happens to play a big part of the story.  It’s not all doom and gloom.  During this drug trial, Annie and Owen are put in a small group to take experimental medications and be plugged into an A.I. computer that is hoped to replace all forms of talk therapy.  Enter Justin Theroux’s character, Dr. Mantleray.  He has developed this drug trial/A.I. form of therapy because of mommy issues brought on by his celebrity therapist mother (played by Sally Field).  Seriously, this is a good show, I promise.  There are so many layers to it, I don’t want to give anything away.  Trust me, if you enjoy sci-fi drama/comedy with a twist of Stanley Kubrick style filmmaking, you will really enjoy this mini-series.  Jonah Hill is really good at a more serious role with some of his style of comedy mixed in.  I’ve always enjoyed Emma Stone in whatever she has done, no complaints there.  Justin Theroux has the best character in the show, in my opinion.  He plays a mad-scientist with mommy issues and suffers from a weird disorder.  This disorder causes him to masturbate compulsively if he is ever rejected.  Yes, Maniac is sort of a, well… manical show.  But I really enjoyed it.

Ozark: Season 2 - A Netflix Original Series

Review by Dawn:

Ugh only 10 episodes for Season 2 just like Season 1 grrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn it this freaking show is SO good. Season 2 starts out a bit slow and I found myself thinking shit, they’ve jumped the shark they aren’t gonna be able to make 2 as good as 1 was and just as I was losing hope, it got good!!

The thing about shows like this where just about everyone is bad including those that are supposed to be on the side of good, you find yourself rooting for who you want to be able to continue being bad lol!!!! Marty and his family find themselves even deeper into the crime world this season, holy shit its just pure entertainment and you don’t want each episode to end!

My BIG complaint is that I binged watched this Season, why the hell did I do that oh I know why,  it was that good!! Now I have to wait another damn year for Season 3 which hasn’t been officially confirmed yet as of this writing but shit hello we know it will be! Umm yes of course I give Season 2 a HUGE thumbs up!!

Norm MacDonald Has A Show

Review by Rob:

I went into Netflix’s new series, “Norm Macdonald has a show,” expecting disaster based on everything I had heard and read prior. Admittedly, I allowed that to taint my viewing in the beginning and I had to stop, walk away, and start over.

In the end, the truth of the matter is, that I don’t know if this show is amazing, stupidly awful, or just Norm Macdonald.

I like Macdonald and have always appreciated his very weird and specific delivery and observations, so accusing me of “not getting it,” would be lazy and lame. This new Netflix show is clearly designed in his image; it seemingly makes no sense and has no point. Dogs are on the set, but an audience isn’t. He sings a horrible sign off song at then end of each episode and he takes non-existent commercial breaks. He has no interviewing skills whatsoever and he ends each show with “jokes” that are beyond bad, which he forces his guests to read. And he has a sidekick, Adam Eget, who is beyond worthless. So much of the show is uncomfortable yet, in retrospect, hysterical, in that “did I just see that,” sense. While he has no ability to interview a human being, he somehow gets amazing moments out of most of his guests, most notably, Jane Fonda, David Letterman, Drew Barrymore, Chevy Chase, and David Spade. And yes, that’s half the season I just praised. So, what is this thing that I have watched? I have no idea but I do know I want a second season for some reason that I cannot give legitimacy to. If the show never returns, I wouldn’t be surprised. I also wouldn’t be shocked if this becames a modern day “Muppet Show,” with celebrities lined up to host…and the comparison to a show of puppets in space, blowing things up, throwing food everywhere, and bitching about the actual performances, is, in the end, a perfect one.

Mayans MC

Review by Dawn:

Since December 9th, 2014 Sons Of Anarchy  fans have been wanting a prequel a spin off something SOA since the final episode!! And now 3 years and 9 months later we got it with Mayans MC!!!!!!! Oh my gosh I miss the hell out of SOA, but am happy Mayans is finally here!

So far there has been 2 episodes and I’m liking it! Its not SOA but shit like I said we are only 2 episodes in, and knowing Kurt Sutter there is SO much more to come and so much growth to happen to get us truly hooked!!! Loved loved loved the flashback with Gemma!!! Okay I mean really you were excited too when you saw her!! And from what I read there are more flashbacks that will include her and the tie in as to why she was there at that jail during that flashback. Sutter is known for tying things together so they make sense, he doesn’t just have some random flashback with such a prominent character from SOA. So excited for more Gemma!! Obviously she’ll only be in flashback moments cause well she’s dead now.

Our little fake finger friend Chucky was also a nice surprise to throw in from our days of SOA. And the SOA San Bernadino charter making an appearance with the President of that chapter who we saw in seasons 6 and 7 of SOA was also freaking awesome to see!! Ummm I swear there is more to Mayans MC that I like besides the SOA appearances!!

Its pretty brutal so far with the Mayans being tied to the Cartel so for folks that like that part they wont be disappointed! There are a lot of different storylines already introduced so I'm looking forward to seeing where those go and how they unfold. Thank you Kurt Sutter for finally putting this together!! Now can’t you also do a prequel for SOA??!! And how about putting some flashbacks in Mayans that include Jax!!!!!!!

Mayans MC so far does deserve a thumbs up!!

Paradise P.D. - A Netflix Animated Series

Review by Brandon:

As a fan of adult animation like Rick and Morty, Archer and of course Family Guy, I was intrigued to find this new animated series on Netflix.  Dozens of maggots were writing in and raving about Paradise P.D. And how hilarious it is.  I must admit that I was not impressed at all.  In fact, I probably chuckled once or twice over the span of 10 episodes.  Maybe I wasn’t in the right mood for it, or maybe the humor was trying so hard to be offensive and crude that it fell short of being funny.  Another reason might be that Paradise P.D. was made by the same guys who brought you Brickleberry on Comedy Central, and instead the forest rangers have been replaced by an inept small-town police force.  Both shows have the same things in common; pointless crude humor and a talking animal addicted to drugs.

The series is very similar to Brickleberry itself but there is no bleeping out profanity and a harder emphasis on vomiting, drugs, genitalia and mental disorders. The show satirizes contemporary issues such as Donald Trump's rise to presidency, news media and their political bias as well as Black Lives Matter. Some Paradise characters are exact replicas of Brickleberry characters but with different clothing and only slight differences in appearances.

It did bring me some joy knowing that the guy who voices Spongebob Squarepants has key roles in this show.  While he didn’t sound like the sponge, it was fun hearing him say every dirty word in the book, including ass-play, squirter and the big “C” word multiple times.  If you’re looking for mind-numbing, pointless profanity and a less than decent storyline… enjoy Paradise P.D.  I did not.

The Meg

Review by Brandon:

The hype for The Meg definitely got the best of me.  A giant shark wreaking havoc, eating everyone in its path in a fury of violence, featuring action-star Jason Statham of Crank fame?  Sign me up!  All of the ingredients are in place for an epic fight between human and megladon, and I sank my teeth into a giant rotten fish sandwich.  The Meg jumped the shark and completely tanked my expectations.  I wanted more shark attacks!  Unfortunately, the focus on the characters and the love interest between what was supposed to be the action star and a scientist overshadowed what could have been a great creature feature.

Here's the rundown:

Five years ago, expert sea diver and Naval Captain Jonas Taylor encountered an unknown danger in the unexplored recesses of the Mariana Trench that forced him to abort his mission and abandon half his crew. Though the tragic incident earned him a dishonorable discharge, what ultimately cost him his career, his marriage and any semblance of honor was his unsupported and incredulous claims of what caused it - an attack on his vessel by a mammoth, 70-foot sea creature, believed to be extinct for more than a million years. But when a submersible lies sunk and disabled at the bottom of the ocean - carrying his ex-wife among the team onboard - he is the one who gets the call. Whether a shot at redemption or a suicide mission, Jonas must confront his fears and risk his own life and the lives of everyone trapped below on a single question: Could the Megalodon - the largest marine predator that ever existed - still be alive ... and on the hunt?

It wasn't all that bad but due to the horrendous acting and flimsy story line, I'm giving The Meg a big thumbs down.  There was one redeeming scene that would be worth watching when the movie is available to rent.  It is at the end when Jason Statham fights The Meg one-on-one.  I don't want to spoil anything, but Jason Statham makes shark fin soup.  It would have only been better if Statham referenced Famiy Guy and said, "Shut up, Meg." like I was doing in my head the entire time.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again

Review by Dawn:

Over the weekend I went and saw this movie with my best friends daughter, after our mani/pedi’s this was the perfect movie to top off our girls day!! The first one I saw bits and pieces but knew the basic premise so you really don’t have to see the first one to see this one, but you may want to because they both are so cute!

Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) is the daughter of Donna (Meryl Streep) who has since passed away, not a spoiler alert its a big premise of this movie which you already know from previews!! There are flashbacks telling the story of Donna when she was younger and how she came to this island in Greece and how Sophie has ended up with 3 different dads. While at the same time showing Sophie present day living out her Moms dreams and having somewhat parallel lives..

Trust me if its sounding boring it isn’t lol!! The stories are told in a non confusing way with yes duh lots of singing!! There wasn’t a slow moment at all. Its a really fun, silly movie! Speaking of silly…Cher is in the move as the Grandmother whats silly about that??!! With all the plastic surgery she’s had, (her face could barely move) she looked younger than her own daughter (Meryl Streep) and her daughters friends, that was a bit of a stretch for sure lol!! If you like musicals and you want to see something lighthearted and entertaining this would be it, I give it a thumbs up for sure!!

Christopher Robin

Review by Mrs. Brandon:

*SPOILERS*, Probably.

Brandon kindly asked if I would like to lend my review since he’s a 12yr old boy who couldn’t help but laugh at every, single, “Pooh” uttered in this movie. “I know it’s hard Pooh” was actually said, and yes, we both laughed.

The synopsis goes something like “Christopher Robin -- now a family man living in London -- receives a surprise visit from his old childhood pal, Winnie-the-Pooh. With Christopher's help, Pooh embarks on a journey to find his friends -- Tigger, Eeyore, Owl, Piglet, Rabbit, Kanga and Roo. Once reunited, the lovable bear and the gang travel to the big city to help Christopher rediscover the joy of life”…and yes that did happen, but this was just the tip of the iceberg.

When I was a child I adored Winnie-the-Pooh, it brought me comfort in a way, and to hear Pooh’s voice come to life was magical. Also, it answered an age-old question for me…Could anyone see Pooh and the gang? Or did they live solely in Christopher Robin’s imagination…? Was I the only one who wondered that? Or what would happen when he grew up? Would they all disappear? Where would Pooh get his “hunny”?! So many questions!

We went for the nostalgia but stayed for the “Poohisms”, which if you’re new to Pooh, a “Poohism” is a silly saying that seems so uncomplicated you can’t understand why you didn’t think of it. This is an essential ingredient to any Winnie-the-Pooh story or film and there was no shortage. Jim Cummings, the one and only who has voiced Winnie-the-Pooh returned for the live-action version, he also voices Tigger, one of Pooh’s closest friends from the Hundred Acre Woods. I’m not sure fans would have accepted anyone but Cummings to be honest. I wouldn’t have. Ewan McGregor is almost hard to like as Christopher Robin because it’s far from what you remember him to be, a cheerful, unbothered and happy child. The storyline hits close to home for many people, not being able to take time off work, feelings of personal failures in your life and the inability to find peace and balance between home and work life. The movie does not fail to include the adult undertones and allows the kids to enjoy good ol’ Pooh Bear, leaving trails of “hunny” everywhere he goes. I can’t be sure if it was always intentional that each character seems to represent a part of our personality, or rather Christopher Robin’s personality, Piglet is anxiety and fear, Eeyore (voiced by Brad Garret) is obviously sadness and depression, Kanga is a nurturing character, Roo is like his curiosity and thirst for knowledge or his inner child, Tigger is the wild side he tries to contain. Owl and Rabbit are his more mature sides, ones that embody responsibility and voice of reason, they try to be sensible about everything and impart wisdom. Pooh is the epitome of love and innocence, he always helps Christopher Robin how to see from all perspectives. Overall it was chalked full of everything essential to a Pooh movie you could hope for. The kids in the audience loved it, the parents loved it, and we loved it.

Equalizer 2

Review by Rob:

Yeah, yeah, yeah…I’m a week behind…sue me. Equalizer 2, which, according to star Denzel Washington, is not a sequel, continues to follow the life of former Black Ops Commander Robert McCall, as he meanders his way through life as widower who hates to see injustice. The film is getting destroyed by critics and movie-goers, as Rotten Tomatoes shows people who have seen it give it only a 50% positive rating overall, and those reporting to Entertainment Weekly score it a “C.” Ok, I get it, but I don’t.

Equalizer 2 is boilerplate and is not nearly as good as the first. They tried to jam in a bunch of McCall’s good deeds without making us understand or care much about them and the ending scene of the modern day “showdown at the O.K. Corral ,” at Cape Cod was pretty hokey and predictable. The truth is, I liked the movie for the exact reason many people are complaining about it; the plot. I thought Denzel was, as usual, amazing, as he imparted wisdom to a young would-be gangbanger, had a verbal take-down with a former black-ops partner in his kitchen, and opened up a bit about his dead wife. Even the scenes of him as a Lyft driver briefly interacting with his passengers gave a window into the character’s true soul. Quite frankly, I enjoyed the “slow” parts of the movie more than the “action,” since most of it was, quite frankly, pretty dumb and predictable (with the exception of the credit card scene and the spear gun scene). I mean really, how did his fellow black-ops partner NOT know he was setting a bomb in the bakery? Did people not take basic chemistry?

In other words, Denzel carries the movie in my opinion with his acting, not his action. If you didn’t see the first Equalizer, you’re fine to enjoy this one (my wife LOVED it, even though she didn’t see the first), buy you’ll miss the inside jokes on McCall’s ongoing OCD, obsession with his stopwatch, and why he reads so much. All in all, it seems people who like the movie, like the action and people who hate the movie say it’s too slow. I liked the slow parts and was indifferent to the action, so I’m a weirdo.

Mission Impossible: Fallout

Review by Brandon:

Tom Cruise does it again!  The 6th installment of the Mission Impossible franchise did not disappoint.  No matter your opinion on who Tom Cruise the person is, you cannot deny after watching Mission Impossible: Fallout that Tom Cruise is at the top of his game.  Nearly every action scene (which the movie is basically 90% action) leaves you in suspense.  There is one chase scene after another, with a serious amount of "Who done it" twists and turns that constantly leaves you guessing who the 'bad guy" really is.  Which, I will admit, I had the whole movie figured out in the first 30 minutes of the 2.5 hour run time, but I still sat back and enjoyed every minute of it.  Here's the rundown:

Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and the IMF team join forces with CIA assassin August Walker (Henry Cavill) to prevent a disaster of epic proportions. Arms dealer John Lark (The mystery man) and a group of terrorists known as the Apostles plan to use three plutonium cores for a simultaneous nuclear attack on the Vatican, Jerusalem and Mecca, Saudi Arabia. When the weapons go missing, Ethan and his crew find themselves in a desperate race against time to prevent them from falling into the wrong hands.

The fact that Tom Cruise is doing all of his own stunts is very impressive considering he is an elderly man at 56 years of age.  I don't know any person his age that would be able to drive cars and motorcycles at high-speeds without plowing into a crowd, or jumping out of a plane without having a heart attack, and even climbing a rope dangling from a helicopter that is hundreds of feet off of the ground.  It's just damn impressive.  You will even be able to spot the moment that Tom Cruise broke his leg jumping from one building to another, and manages to limp away to finish off the scene.  Mission Impossible: Fallout is an excellent movie, and you won't be disappointed.  Thumbs up!

Equalizer 2

Review by Dawn:

Action flicks in general are fine, they aren’t my go to, if I’m watching TV alone I don’t pick an actin flick to watch I pick a chick flick hands down! However when my hubby is watching action shit I’ll watch it with him and most of it is pretty good and entertaining…now while what I just said is true there is ONE caveat…Denzel Washington!!! I will watch his movies all day long action flicks or not, doesn’t matter its Denzel and I LOVE him he is AMAZING!! There are only 2 entertainers in the world that I would pay just to watch them read from a magazine  (google magazines!!) George Strait is one of them and Denzel is the other!!

Round 2 of The Equalizer, was a bit slow at times, mixed in a lot of varying relationships you’ll know what I mean when you see it...and the movie was kinda predictable.. however as always Denzel was perfect!! And the kill scenes HOLY SHIT the kill scenes were fantastic!!! Overall this movie was great!! And its because of the kill scenes and the fight scenes, oh dear lord, Lordy Lordy lord!! There is a fight scene was Denzel doesn’t kill anyone  but he sure messes them up BAD!! Love what he did with a credit card lol!!

It really doesn’t matter that it dragged a bit, the action TOTALLY made up for it and yes there were some really sweet tender moments that I loved as well!! Denzel you did it again, I give you a big old thumbs up!!!!!

Sharp Objects

Review by Dawn:

I was looking forward to this miniseries on HBO..Sharp Objects with Amy Adams, I usually like stuff she’s in…then I forgot it started already! So I caught up on the first 2 episodes, tonight Sunday or last Sunday depending on when you read this!! Episode 3 will air... and I gotta say…..I am having a hard time liking it as much as everyone else appears to like it…it seems like people really really really love this miniseries….I kinda like it, but there is something about it I don’t like but I keep watching anyway!

Amy Adams acting is spot on for the character she is portraying but shit I don’t know its kinda weird, sometimes in a good way and sometimes not! Basically Amy Adams is a reporter for a newspaper in St. Louis, she is from a small town in Missouri where all these kids end up missing and dead so she is sent there to write about it since she is from this small town…blah blah yadda yadda…its based on a book, which no I haven’t read!

I will still keep watching I mean shit I’ve already started might as well see this thing thru…maybe eventually I’ll like it as much as y’all seem to! For now tho it gets a sideways thumb!!!!

Jim Jefferies - This Is Me Now - A Netflix Original Comedy Special

Review by Rob:

After years and years of working his way up the comedy ladder, Jim Jeffries seems to have arrived with his new weekly show on Comedy Central which highlights his ability to offer actually funny commentary on today’s events and environment, a talent Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel either never had or lost on election night, November 2016. Jeffries is clearly anit-Trump, but at least he’s funny about it. “He’s an idiot,” isn’t a punchline.

However, his stand-up has been evolving and changing in ways that have been erratic and inconsistent, as demonstrated in his newest Netflix special which has some really high highs and some really low lows. Recorded in London, the problems start there. There’s at least 10 minutes of this special that are worthless and meaningless to an American audience. The references to British politics and lifestyle and unrelatable and boring, with the one exception of when he is brilliantly and hysterically eviscerating European men for not being circumcised. It’s edgy, raw, offensive, controversial and funny as hell. And that, when it comes to stand up, is Jeffries lane. While he may have become famous with his 16 minute “gun control,” routine, he’s at his best on stage being raw and raunchy on issues ranging from his food poisoned son to miscarried dead babies in heaven and even his still and always latently burning hatred for women at their core.

“This is me now,” is essentially the same Jefferies I saw live in Reno months ago, minus the absolute best part; his ability to destroy hecklers. Truth be told, they had cameras at the Reno show and they should have used that version of this act. His stories in the Netflix special are not told with the same energy the night I saw him. They’re still funny, but this isn’t his best.

Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee - Collection 5 On Netflix

Review by Rob:

To be fair, Jerry Seinfeld’s rotating series of driving comedians around in fancy cars and overly highlighting coffee cutaways has already featured almost all of the funniest and best working comedians of today and the last many decades, thus the ongoing success of the show is, in part, reliant on the quality of guest he can find. Recently moved to Netflix, the show has had 10 “seasons,” which the streaming giant has condensed into collections formerly available on “Crackle,” with the newest round of interviews being C5 episodes 1-12. But the number and length of previous episodes and interviews is wearing on Jerry at a time when his guest pool has all but evaporated.

That, in and of itself, is what makes the newest season so disappointing. Seinfeld himself is either no longer trying, or is just finally becoming that annoying stereotypical aging New Yorker who thinks louder and more of himself is funny. And it isn’t. In episode 4 of the 5th and newest collection available on Netflix, he constantly asks Tracy Morgan questions and then answers himself before Morgan can speak, certain he has the funniest thing in the world to say…and he doesn’t. Granted, with a guest list this season of such non-high-caliber names as John Mulaney, Neal Brennan, Brian Regan, and Hasan Minhaj, Seinfeld wasn’t exactly given the greatest ingredients needed to make a souffle. Unfortunately, in his attempt to add flavor, he added way too much of himself and it’s truly become too much Jerry trying way too hard.

For enjoyment, watch only episodes 2,3,10 and 11 and allow Dave Chappelle, Ellen Degeneres, Kate McKinnon and Alec Baldwin to try to remind Jerry what joy looks like

Luke Cage Season 2 - A Netflix Original Series

Review by Rob:

The second season of Luke Cage has dropped on Netflix and it’s more amazing than the first (which is saying something, since that universe was already ranked as follows: Luke Cage barely better than Daredevil; and then a  long giant chasm down to rank number 3; Jessica Jones, followed by a hellish elevator ride down to the bottom of the barrel AKA Iron Fist (who needs to die).

Season 2 of Cage is so much more than an action-based, violent super hero series (although there’s plenty of that, too). The fantastically written soap opera tale over the control of Harlem’s heart and streets plays out amidst the backdrop of beautifully used music, mostly amazing acting (there are a few clunky bit players that need to die and many do), and the constant struggle Cage has with being a hero, making money, stopping corruption, and controlling his anger. An anger, we find out, driven greatly by his broken relationship with his father played spectacularly by the now late Reg E Cathey. A few drop-ins like Foggy from Daredevil are pleasant surprises and the rise of Misty the bionic armed cop isn’t as annoying a story line as I expected it to be along the way. Alfre Woodard kills it as Mariah and the ending of the series, placing Luke in a whole new position literally and emotionally only, like usual, makes us want so much more of a series we’ll probably not see again until Trump’s second term begins.

One note; while the very first episode opens with vintage violence, the rest of it seems, at times to drag. Don’t give up, they’re merely setting the table for the entire season. Plus, your patience is rewarded at the end with one of the best kill scenes ever involving the removal of someone’s eyeballs in a most unique fashion.

Ant-Man & The Wasp

Review by Brandon:

The Marvel Universe continues in Ant-Man & The Wasp, the sequel to Ant-Man, led by Paul Rudd.  Rudd is lucky to have landed this super-hero role.  Normally, Paul Rudd struggles to carry a movie, but thanks to the Marvel madness, he found the perfect role and is sure to cash in on all of that Marvel money.

While most critics are crapping on this sequel, I really enjoyed it!  Critics and most other "movie buffs" reviewing this movie are likely overwhelmed with Marvel and are comparing it too much to the recent Avengers movie.  If you have seen the ending of The Avengers, you will know that the cliffhanger left a lot of people devastated and seeking answers as to why Thanos did what he did.  Ant-Man & The Wasp takes place in the time between Captain America: Civil War and the most recent Avengers movie.  Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) is grappling with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father. Approached by Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), Lang must once again don the Ant-Man suit and fight alongside the Wasp. The urgent mission soon leads to secret revelations from the past as the dynamic duo finds itself in an epic battle against a powerful new enemy.

If you liked the first Ant-Man movie, and have enjoyed his addition to the Marvel Universe, you won't be disappointed by this sequel.  Sure, it didn't hit as hard as the most recent Avengers movie, but it was a much needed fun, comedic relief.

Also, stay for the post-credits scene!!!  Especially, if you know what happened at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.  Trust me.

Tag

Review by Dawn:

Holy shit this movie was awesome! I thought I wouldn’t watch this movie until it wasn’t in theaters anymore but one of our nieces really wanted to see it, so what the heck it has a cast of folks we like so on vaca we went and saw it! If you don’t know the premise its based on a true story of lifelong friends who have been playing tag since they were little boys and never stopped playing tag with each other even as they grew up and become grown men!

This movie is childish in a good way! Its so funny how these grown men will fly to where they live or have certain things going on in their lives, birth of children, funerals etc just to play tag. The purpose of the them playing is to keep each other in their lives and to keep the bond they all have.

I mean its just so absurd the lengths they will go to to play this game, getting certain jobs, dressing like old ladies, hiding in closets of friends therapy sessions..anything to pass off the tag. Lots of laughs in this movie and some heart warming friendship stuff as well!! Watch after the movie is over they show video of the real guys this movie is based on and its great!! Huge thumbs up for this flick!!

Gordon Ramsay's 24 Hours To Hell And Back

Review by Rob:

Full disclosure, I really like Gordon Ramsay in almost every way. I’ve eaten at a few of his fine dining and more casual restaurants, and I’ve always been impressed. As a chef, I’ve found many of his recipes to be exemplary and helpful in allowing me to create my own masterpieces, most notably Beef Wellington and Lobster Spaghetti. And as a TV personality, I find him to be captivating and entertaining. Plus, the truth of the matter is that the chef world is brutal. Getting called a “donkey,” is child’s play in a real restaurant kitchens and his over-the-top, abusive at times, approach is more real than reality at some points. With that said, all reality TV comes with a healthy dose of bull-crap, scripting, set-up, reshoots, and, at times, out-and-out acting. Some shows, like COPS , Live PD, Deadliest Catch, Hoarders, and Botched are renowned for being as close as you get to reality. Others, like The Amazing Race, Big Brother, The Real World, and storage wars are beyond fake and are, in fact, totally staged and scripted. The rest are all somewhere in the middle; All of the housewife shows (and pretty much everything else on Bravo), and shows like Survivor and the Bachelor at least show you real sides of human beings, even if they aren’t the ones you’re watching. In other words, yes, there absolutely are people permeating Los Angeles identical to the cast of Vanderpump Rules.

With Ramsay, Hell’s Kitchen got old, Masterchef has always been stupid, and his American attempt at his hit British show “The F word,” was a disaster. But Kitchen Nightmares was always his best because no matter how much set-up there may have been, it absolutely showed the reality of the state of many, if not most, restaurants across America. “24 hours to hell and back,” was supposed to be that on steroids; it isn’t. It’s beyond god awful and insulting. It’s absolute garbage.

The premise that we’re supposed to believe is that restaurants are told that they’re being interviewed to be on a reality show, yet they don’t know that secret cameras are then placed in their businesses for a week (a total violation of all sorts of federal laws and civil liberties). A week later, Ramsay shows up, allegedly unannounced, in the worst disguise you can imagine (he always looks like an overweight 18-wheel truck driver). After eating an appallingly bad meal, he goes into the men’s room of each restaurant for what would have to be a minimum of 20-30 minutes to have his disguise removed, all the while being filmed, while apparently no other customers ever walk in and without the restaurant noticing a camera crew following him into the bathroom. He then appears back in the restaurant to the shock and awe of the staff and begins barking orders and playing clips from the “hidden footage” of the past week. Then he announces that everyone who works for the restaurant will be working non-stop for the next 24 hours and they all need to call their loved ones and let them know they won’t be coming home for a day (yet another violation of so many laws and OSHA standards that we’ve gone beyond stupid at this point), because that’s totally realistic for people to be able to do. He starts a countdown clock, and it only gets more and more fake from there. This show is unwatchable…don’t do it! I put myself through three episodes of literal Hell and wish I could have gone back.

Blockers

Review by Dawn:

I know this came out in April but I just saw it on Apple TV!! What the Frick, holy m’fer this movie is laughing so hard can’t breathe funny!!!!! Not kidding!! Our Neice and nephew kept saying for days when they were at our house lets watch Blockers and we were like no thats okay looks stupid! And they were like no seriously its so good. And we thought well maybe its funny to teenagers. Well yep they were right, this movie is GREAT!!!!

John Cena is hilarious in this movie, him bending over with a tube in his ass to chug beer through his ass is OMG funny!! Basically 3 parents find out their kids plan on losing their virginity on Prom Night and they try to stop them from doing so. This movie is pretty relatable for parents my sister in law said and relatable to anyone whose is and has been a teen! Leslie Mann is one of the moms and although she plays the same character she always plays it works!

If you are just kicking back at home and want a good laugh watch this movie!!! Big thumbs up!!

The Fosters

Review by Dawn:

One of our nieces is obsessed with The Fosters on Netflix and I got sucked right in with her!!! For about 3 days we sat and binge watched this damn show!! It sucks you in damn it! This show was on ABC Family/Freeform for years and now its on Netflix. I guess there is going to be a spinoff  at some point just concentrating the two girls in the family while they are in college. Anywhoo this is a show about a married lesbian couple who are foster and adoptive parents. Lots and lots of drama, chaos, hardships and joy sum up this show.

What I like about this show is that it does portray all the chaos that parents go thru in having a family. You have 7 people in a family each having a family relationship and life, but also each being an individual with their own life happening outside of the family  and trying to bring it all together as a family can be a difficulty thing to juggle and it shows all of that. You don’t walk away thinking its all joy and happiness while raising a family. There is struggle, there are trying times, there is frustration all with joy and happiness in the mix.

It can get a bit overdramatic at times and have moments where you are like really!? And one of the wives says “my love” way toooo often..at first its sweet but after awhile you are like ugh stop it already!! Overall its a good show...I haven’t finished the last season yet, I had to walk away and do other stuff lol!! But this is a good one to start watching on a lazy laying on the couch kind of day! I give this show a thumbs up!

Incredibles 2

Review by Dawn:

Hard to believe its been almost 14 years since the first Incredibles came out!! The 2 god kiddos of ours I took to see this new one weren’t even born when the first one came out, craziness!! Anywhooooo we were excited to see this movie, who isn’t!!!???! First I must say there is a Short that gets played before the movie starts thats funny but also has you turn your head sideways!! Lol! our god kiddos that were with me are 10 and 13 and they just looked at me and went “what…okay that was different”

This second go around of the Incredibles was fantastic!! It was funny, cute, kept you entertained throughout and of course a good message! It picks up with Super heroes still being illegal so the whole movie was basically about getting them to be legal again. With all the fun twists and turns and the new baby with its powers…don’t want to tell you what those are lol you’ll have to see for yourself. And oh my gosh parents out there with teen girls will have an extra chuckle at the daughters “dramatic outbursts” oh my gosh too funny!

This movie for sure is for adults and kids, the theatre we were in had people from age 5 to 80! If you want to smile, laugh and remember why you love the Incredibles, see this second one!! Gets a big ole thumbs up from us!!

Incredibles 2

Review by Brandon:

It has been far too long of a wait for Incredibles number 2 to drop, and it was well worth the wait!

Incredibles 2 picks up right where the 1st left off.  The family is dealing with the backlash of being their super selves and saving the city.  At this point, superheroes are still illegal because politicians believe that they cause more harm than good.  While the Incredibles family are stuck without their home, which was destroyed at the end of the 1st film, and jobless, an opportunity arises that could turn things around for all supers.

Telecommunications guru Winston Deavor enlists Elastigirl to fight crime and make the public fall in love with superheroes once again. That leaves Mr. Incredible with one of his greatest challenges ever, staying home and taking care of three super children.  As Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack offer him a new set of headaches, a cybercriminal named Screenslaver launches his dastardly plan, hypnotizing the world through computer screens.

The highlights of Incredibles 2 start from the beginning of the film, all the way to the end.  The true star of the movie has to be Jack-Jack, the baby, who we find out has superpowers at the end of the 1st movie.  The moments between Mr Incredible and his kids are the funniest as he is not prepared for the stresses that come along with single-parenting while Elastigirl is off on missions trying to restore the image of superheroes.  At one point, when Mr Incredible is at a breaking point, he enlists the hilarious Edna (super suit designer) to babysit little Jack-Jack and hone in on his multiple superpowers.

If you're like me and you loved the 1st Incredibles movie, you will not be disappointed in the second.  It had me laughing all the way through.  Huge thumbs up!

America's Got Talent

Review by Dawn:

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this show!!! This time of year, my hubby and I look forward to Big Brother and America’s Got Talent. These are shows he and I not only enjoy watching together but also with our family...  his sister, neice, nephew and the in laws! We all actually get excited when we see we will be together on a night one of these shows is on! And when we all can’t watch together we will talk about the shows when we are chatting on the phone or FaceTime!

By far America’s Got Talent is our favorite Summer show, the chemistry between the judges is so awesome to watch and then all the heartfelt stories behind some of the contestants, man some nights its a total cry fest for me!! Its  such a joyful show and also funny when people are awful because of the way the judges taunt the folks!

This particular contestant had me freaking bawling. He and his wife have 6 kids, 5 from foster care that they adopted. Oh my gosh just wonderful amazing people. Watch both of these videos and get your Kleenex ready!!

This first video gives you the story of the family...

This second video you get to watch the audition of the father singing and holy shit it is good!!!

Oceans 8

Review by Dawn:

I was excited to see this movie for two reasons I like a lot of the cast, like Sandra Bullock, Mindy Kaling, Anne Hathaway, Sarah Paulson and the big surprise James Corden, who we will get back to in a sec...and I liked the Original Oceans movies...

Sandra Bullock’s character is from a long line of criminals including her brother Danny Ocean (George Clooney’s character in the Oceans movies) she herself is also a criminal, movie starts with her getting out of jail and starting to plot the jewelry heist she’s been planning for the past 5 years while in prison.

That’s the gist of the movie, then it’s basically just like all the other Oceans movies but with women....silly, drags a little, but entertaining enough to keep you watching.

What I really enjoyed about this movie was James Corden’s part, I just love him!! He played his part so well, am I saying a man saved this movie, no! I’m saying I’m glad he was in this movie his part added a lot of entertainment!!

All in all I’d prefer to watch this movie at home laying on the couch! It’s good enough for home viewing but not sure it’s good enough for getting ready, heading out to the movies and all that! So I give it a side thumb or a so so!!

Impractical Jokers Tour: Santiago Sent Us

Review by Rob:

The Impractical Jokers TV show is the biggest thing TruTV has and is wildly popular. Four lifelong friends (Sal, Joe, James, and Brian) from Staten Island surprise and set-up unsuspecting strangers and each other in prank after prank, recorded on the sly.  The power of the show is the endearing personalities of each of the four guys and their collective chemistry. The show is very funny and, as a result of a lot of people questioning the validity of the program, launched a “behind-the-scenes,” version of the program that answered a lot of questions about how they pull off the stunts we see. Years ago, the four guys actually were discovered as a result of their stage show under the name “The Tenderloins,” so going back out on tour is them returning to their roots. And God, do I wish they wouldn’t have.

The Impractical Jokers stage show is the furthest thing from improv you can get. In fact, it’s so over-written, over-prepared, and over-choreographed, that they actually try to work in some seeming improv, only to execute it so poorly that it is so transparently set-up, that it’s painful. And what’s more painful is this; great stand-up comedians write their acts and do the same stuff over and over again…I get it…there’s two differences here. First of all, the Jokers’ entire appeal is what we’re supposed to believe is their ability to improv and execute on the fly. Secondly, if you’re going to present a cookie-cutter “we did this same show every night for the last 3 months,” show to me, then at least make it funny. Like make me chuckle or smile, neither of which I did, nor did much of the 3,500 seat auditorium. Many fans were so awestruck, they would have laughed at any noise that came out of the Jokers’ mouths. But many more were squirming silently very early on, and a few muttered “can’t blame you,” as we walked out early.

My wife and I were huge fans of the show and the disappointment in this event can’t be overstated. Notice I said we “were,” fans of the show. This stage performance was so bad, that we immediately began identifying what really happens when they’re filming the TV show, and what we really see in the final product. They have amazing editors, and clearly all of their seemingly outlandish impromptu moments are completely planned and written ahead of time. Most awful; they’re phony. All of that falling down laughing in hysterics is theater. They tried it on stage Saturday and it was so miserably fake, especially since they knew exactly what was coming every time. I feel conned. Good for them, on the same weekend that Ocean’s 8 premiered, the Impractical Jokers revealed to me that they’ve pulled off one of the greatest heists in entertainment history. Bravo, gentlemen.

Solo: A Star Wars Story

Review by Brandon:

Another day, another Star Wars movie!  While Hollywood capitalizes on the superheroes and the reboots, we were treated to yet another origin story of the Star Wars saga over Memorial Day weekend.  This time it's time to find out how Han Solo became Han Solo and the events surrounding his famous "Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs" in the Millennium Falcon.  For those of you that don't know, that is very fast!!!  Take it from us nerds.  Like most origin stories, you are smacked with doses of nostalgia and throwbacks to certain quotes from the original Star Wars movies that help you understand their significance.  While it helps to have seen all of the previous Star Wars movies, you don't need to know everything about every plot to follow along, you will still have fun while being clueless to every reference.

Young Han Solo (played by Alden Ehrenreich) finds adventure when he joins a gang of galactic smugglers, including a 196-year-old Wookie named Chewbacca. Indebted to the gangster Dryden Vos (played by Paul Bettany who is Vision in the Avengers movies), the crew devises a daring plan to travel to the mining planet Kessel to steal a batch of valuable coaxium. In need of a fast ship, Solo meets Lando Calrissian, the suave owner of the perfect vessel for the dangerous mission -- the Millennium Falcon.

Since Han Solo's fame is rooted by Harrison Ford's portrayal of the character, I think that Alden Ehrenreich did a great job at setting the stage as a young Han/Harrison.  He got the mannerisms down and was very convincing as Han Solo.  There is a ton of humor and excellent action scenes.  The story had plenty of depth and had some great emotional moments as well.  If you're in a bad mood, you may not enjoy this movie.  But if you go into it expecting to have a good time and some good laughs, you will enjoy Solo: A Star Wars Story as much as I did.  Thumbs up!

Deadpool 2

Review by Brandon:

Deadpool 2 is finally here and it's just as good as the first, if not better!  This action packed comedy delivers on all fronts.  The R-rated mutant in the X-men universe continues to prove that you these "superhero" movies can still be fun and entertaining, without feeling forced like most of the X-men movies we have seen recently.

This time around, the anti-hero played by Ryan Reynolds, has to help protect a young mutant with the ability to shoot flames out of his hands (Firefist) from a time traveling bad ass played by Josh Brolin (Cable).  Josh Brolin is firing on all cylinders now that he has taken on such prominent roles in this year's biggest comic book movies including his role as Thanos in the latest Avengers Infinity War.

Semi spoiler alert: Deadpool loses someone that he loves in the beginning of the film that leads to him having to rediscover his resolve and find out who his family among the mutants really is.  There are lots of good cameos and plenty of laugh out loud moments.  I will not spoil any of the cameos for you, but you will enjoy the little nuggets that the filmmakers left in there for you Deadpool fans.

One of the most knee-slapping moments that has stuck with me is when Deadpool is regrowing his legs after being ripped in half.  For those of you that don't know, Deadpool's power is the ability to heal and grow stronger, very similar to Wolverine.  That's not the funny part.  While Deadpool is growing back his legs, they basically start from the beginning.  So the top  half of his body is normal, but the bottom half are baby legs.  The entire scene is a pivotal moment that is supposed to be taken somewhat seriously, but the baby legs just steal the scene.  There's even a moment where Deadpool does a "Basic Instinct" move, a la Sharon Stone, baby sized anatomy and all.

If you loved the first Deadpool, you are sure to love the second one just as much.  I know I did.  If you haven't seen the first Deadpool, it would help... and what are you waiting for?

The Hitman's Bodyguard

Review by Brandon:

While the wait for Deadpool 2 is nearly over, I decided to brush up on a Ryan Reynolds movie that I never got around to seeing last year.  The Hitman's Bodyguard, which co-stars Samuel L. Jackson, mother f***er!  The critics weren't thrilled and the current rating is a mere 40% on Rotten Tomatoes.  I don't always agree with the critics and sometimes Rotten Tomatoes can be just as wrong.  Both got it wrong on this one.  The Hitman's Bodyguard was a hit and got some genuine gut laughs out of me.

Here's the rundown: The world's top protection agent is called upon to guard the life of his mortal enemy, one of the world's most notorious hit men. The relentless bodyguard and manipulative assassin have been on the opposite end of the bullet for years and are thrown together for a wildly outrageous 24 hours. During their journey from England to the Hague, they encounter high-speed car chases, outlandish boat escapades and a merciless Eastern European dictator (played by Gary Oldman) who is out for blood.

There is a ton of action and plenty of good humor delivered by both Reynolds and Jackson.   The action is great, but the bickering and chemistry between the two is hilarious.  In fact, if you are familiar with the movie Crank starring Jason Statham, you will be reminded of the same over-the-top action and humor mixture that leaves you laughing and rolling your eyes at the ridiculousness.  If you come across The Hitman's Bodyguard, you won't regret it.  Enjoy!

The Week Of

Review by Brandon:

I don't believe Adam Sandler has made a quality, funny movie since Happy Gilmore or Billy Madison.  Sure he has dabbled in the serious roles, but nothing has stood out quite as much as his early work.  Since he signed on to do what seems to be a new movie on Netflix every month like The Ridiculous 6 and The Do-Over, just to name a couple. I have yet to give any of them a try until now.  To be honest, the only reason I gave "The Week Of" a shot was because it co-stars Chris Rock.  To my surprise, I found myself laughing more than I thought I would and ultimately enjoying Adam Sandler as he channeled some of that angry Adam Sandler we loved from the early days.

Two fathers with opposing personalities come together to celebrate the wedding of their children. They are forced to spend the longest week of their lives together, and the big day cannot come soon enough.

This movie came out coincidentally after we have spent almost a week on discussing wedding horror stories like atrocious gift registry requests, cover charges for attending a wedding, and drama between family members.  It's almost like they channeled everything that could ever go wrong in the week leading up to a wedding and put it all into this movie.

There are a lot of funny moments, but it is balanced out with the sentimental stories behind the father's and the role's they play in their family's lives.  Also, I think the funniest character in the movie was an old man with no legs who played Sandler's great Uncle.  Honestly, the entire ensemble of the cast made this movie funny, but the legless Uncle was my favorite.  I give "The Week Of" a thumbs up!

Avengers Infinity War

Review by Brandon:

After admitting that I was suffering from Marvel fatigue, I will say that Avengers Infinite War was a lot better than I thought it was going to be and left me feeling more excited about the next one.  Oh yes, the ending of Infinity War left it wide open for a sequel...doy!!!  It really isn't a surprise since Marvel has already scheduled multiple sequels and stand-alone movies for the next 50 years...  Okay, maybe 10.  It would definitely serve you well to have seen most of the Marvel movies prior to Infinity War.  The one thing that set this movie apart from any Marvel movie prior, is that now that most of the characters have been established with their backgrounds, they could get to the heart of the story and dive right into the action!

Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet -- the evil Thanos.   Thanos is played by Josh Brolin, and does an amazing job.  On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment.

There is plenty of humor in between a ton of action packed fight scenes.  I honestly felt like a kid at times, jumping up in my seat, fist pumping.  At other times, I found myself upset by certain characters being killed off... I will just leave it at that as I don't want to spoil anything for anyone.  Honestly, there is too much good stuff in this movie that if I give anything further away, it would just ruin it for you.  Go see Avengers Infinity War and I hope you like it as much as I did.

Handmaid's Tale - Season 2 On Hulu

Review by Dawn:

Season 2 kicked off last Wednesday with 2 AWESOME episodes!!! And now we have to wait for a new episode each Wednesday…WTF!!!?? Is this how they did it for Season 1? By the time I watched Season 1 all the episodes for the whole season were there so I assumed it was one of those shows that once the season starts you get all the episodes..but nope….damn it!!

So far this season is uh-mazing. We get exactly what I was hoping for a look at the Colonies, which dear god what a hell hole death sentence of a place. What an awful existence, this is where the leaders of Gilead send the worst of the worst sinners. Seriously it does look like you are being condemned to hell. And I also wanted to see more of how Gilead came to power. Kinda scary actually because so far its little things here and there that didn’t add up but you are busy living your life and then when folks start realizing what is happening to the America they know its WAY too late to do anything except try to escape. Sounds like something that could totally happen! Maybe not to the extreme of this show but similar…gets you thinking about it or just is good entertainment!

For now June is being kept safe away from being a Handmaid but that can’t last long I’m sure, we haven’t seen whats happening with her husband or daughter yet but we are only 2 episodes in at this point…yes I am inpatient!!  If you haven’t watched I'm telling you this show is SO good, the first season I watched in a weekend so you can totally catch up especially since there is only a new episode for Season 2 on Wednesdays, it is Wednesday yet???!!!!!

I Feel Pretty

Review by Dawn:

Producer Amanda and I went and saw this movie together and we both were hoping it would be good and you know what I thought it was! There were some slow parts but shit other than that I don’t know what the frick  some of those movie critics saw!! This movie had a solid message…Your body doesn’t define you, YOU do! Your personality, your heart..who you are as a person.

The gal Amy Schumer plays really does represent the 99.9% of us women before we get our confidence! She is super critical about her body and face, she has zero confidence she thinks if she was prettier or thinner she would have a good life. As you all have already heard from the movie she falls down hits her head pretty hard and thinks what she sees is a whole new person, she is beautiful and thin, but everyone else still sees the real her the person whose looks and body haven’t changed. She now has new found confidence because she thinks she is so beautiful and her personality can shine because she is no longer self conscious.

The WHOLE point of the movie was everyone liked her for her not her looks and she finally was getting the life she wanted NOT because of her looks but because of her confidence, her personality….the person she is! The message was pretty clear how we see ourselves and what we think of ourselves can hold us back or move us forward and  we all should learn to love the body we are in and the face we have.

Amy Schumer the person is hard to like so maybe thats why folks had the point of the whole movie wrong!! Anywhooo I thought it was a good body image movie and in my book that gets a thumbs up!!

Super Troopers 2

Review by Brandon:

This is the perfect movie to watch on a 4/20 holiday!  If you are a fan of the first Super Troopers, you will not be disappointed by the sequel.  It seems like it has been ages since the Broken Lizard guys have done anything new, and this crowdfunded sequel delivered as much as the original.  The guys do fall back on a lot of the most famous quotable scenes from the original like "liter of cola", "littering and", the "meow" shtick and even Farva's "liter of cola" line gets a throw back.  But there is plenty more new material that will sure be quoted among friends for years to come.

Fired for their previous shenanigans, former Vermont Highway Patrol officers Thorny, Farva, Rabbit, Foster and Mac get a shot at redemption from Capt. O'Hagan and Gov. Jessan. The wacky quintet must provide law enforcement for a French Canadian town that's transitioning to U.S. sovereignty. Their unconventional methods soon get put to the test when they encounter a smarmy mayor (played by Rob Low), mischievous Mounties, a smuggling ring and a 1,300-pound bear.

With a premise like this, it's no surprise that the Super Troopers spend a lot of their energy bashing on the Canadians, but who doesn't love that?

A few scenes to look forward to that had me in stitches include:

- The troopers testing unmarked drugs just to catalog what they are by feeling their effects.  One of the troopers gets addicted to a female sex drug and slowly turns into a woman.

- Rob Lowe's character runs a brothel/bar in Canada and the fight scene that takes place involves plenty of nudity.  It did not disappoint.

- The interaction between the Troopers, posing as Mounties to tarnish their image around town, pull over an American couple and pretend like French-Canadian is their first language.  Their entire interaction with the couple is hilarious.

- A ton of mindless, physical and immature comedy that will entertain those who refuse to grow up... like me.

You don't have to be a stoner to appreciate this movie on 4/20, but it would certainly help.  Go see Super Troopers 2!

Santa Clarita Diet - A Netflix Original Series - Season 2

Review by Dawn:

SOOOOOOO GOOD!!! Shit now we have to wait for Season 3!!!! BOO that... I don’t want to wait lol!! My only complaint about Season 2 is its only 10 episodes I know Season 1 was only 10 episodes as well but that doesn’t  mean they couldn’t do more this go around!

Drew Barrymore’s character in this show is so freaking endearing even tho she is basically a zombie who eats people…BUT she only kills and eats bad people she refuses to eat people that are kind and good!! The relationship with her and her husband is pretty hilarious and continues to be this sweet loving bond in a weird twisted way!! In this Season we are introduced to more folks who have had the same thing happen to them as Drew Barrymore’s character and each one of those stories…AWESOME!

The talking head is GREAT! It’s of one of their fellow real estate agents that was a total ass hat so Drew killed, ate and buried him in Season 1 not realizing she made his head undead!!  And the friendship the husband and the head form seems so normal…even tho he is friends with a talking head that has no body!

I don’t want to give too much away…but basically Season 2 is even better than Season 1..it introduces more undead folks, the cop on the street looks more into the local deaths, Nazi’s are apart of this season and since they are bad you can imagine how Drew gets rid of them!! Also Jesus plays a funny role in this Season as well but thats all I’ll say above that part cause I don’t want to give away how the Season ends…I give this a HUGE thumbs up you can Netflix and chill this in one day!!!
